Proud to be among Mobtown's finest

I’m proud to report that The Occasional has been nominated in two categories (“Pop Culture” and “Misfits“) in the Baltimore Sun’s inaugural “Maryland’s Outstanding Blogs” awards (i.e. The Mobbies).

If you are so inclined, I invite you place once-daily votes for The Occasional in both categories (and, what the heck, the “Best Overall Blog” category too). The voting continues through Oct. 9 at 5 p.m. EST.

Obviously, a Mobby for being an outstanding “Misfit” in the hometown of John Waters would be the most thrilling, but, as they say, I’m just happy to be nominated.
